Tannat: rare and nuanced

Tannat is a rare variety to find outside of France and Uruguay and we’re fortunate to know a grower in the Columbia Gorge. It’s a hardy thick skinned grape meaning it's loaded with tannins, acidity and bold flavors making it worthy of our Oh! orgasmic collection.

If you wonder what a redolent wine should be, Tannat is it — rich, bold, and inky, yet pliable and supple with flavor. Throughout fermentation and aging, the acidic and tannic structure pulls back to soften its mouth bomb flavors of dark fruits, leather and spice. 

Our 2019 Oh! orgasmic Tannat won double gold and 95 points in the 2022 Washington State Wine Awards. Enjoy it alone or with hearty meats, smoked meats, BBQ meats and strong cheeses, like Gorgonzola. It’s elegant and nuanced and embraceable.
