We’re so into this Dominatrix

Our Pinot Noir made herself clear from the very first sip. We had cared for her with the respect that her fruits deserved, kept her aging, quietly barreled in oak, always checking in, nurturing her, attentive to her every need — to ensure that she reached her ultimate fruition. She did. She surprised us. She found her body and her depth. Her soft texture came on like cherry satin and laced us with red currants of desire. We bonded, as her leather tannins and oak, gripped and restrained us — commanding us to meet the edge of awe — the power of our Pinot Noir. She’s not your average Pinot — she’s not a typical Oregon Noir. She’s a full-bodied Dominatrix.

We actually know people similar to her. Platonically, we wish we could assimilate their determinedness, attitude, forthrightness and uniqueness. The way they take the reins and lead with a brilliance that's so alluringly attractive, we follow. We all end up at night clubs, concerts and parties, dancing and drinking and laughing. They may be domineering, but we are their spotlight, their focus — as much as they are ours. We never would have done those things on our own.

Along the way, we learn that we're dynamic too. We did that! We take charge of ourselves. Sometimes we pass on going out with them. We stay home with our partner who knows what we want, when we say "More, please!" And when we find our inner Domme needing attention, we know it was in us all along.

Her safe word is actually a phrase – "Stay evocative!”
